ZBS Graduation 2025 - A miracle from God

An update from READ friend, partner, and Board Member, Volodymyr Degtyaryov, Development Director, Zaporizhzhia Bible Seminary

Dear friends of ZBS,

Despite the situation in Ukraine, graduation ceremonies took place on Saturday, May 31st, at the campus of Zaporizhzhia Bible Seminary and also on Saturday, May 24th, at the seminary's teaching site in the city of Kremenets, Ternopil region. In all, 143 graduates received diplomas and certificates! Praise the Lord!

Our students successfully completed the following programs: Bachelor of Church Ministry, Vector, Christian Teen Academy, and Girls and Women's Academy.

In the Pastoral Care department, our students completed courses in Healing Heart Wounds (The Heart of Barnabas), Improving Pastoral Ministry, the art of Preaching, and Planting New Churches.

Throughout its existence, Zaporizhzhia Bible Seminary has maintained a sacred commitment to this mission: to train leaders for ministry who will faithfully preach God's Word and serve in their communities, inspiring believers to live a life dedicated to God.

Again, I want to thank all of you who are praying for Ukraine in these difficult times and supporting the ministry of Zaporizhzhia Bible Seminary. Because of the full-scale war, the situation in Zaporizhzhia is such that the ministry of seminary and graduation ceremonies is already a miracle from God!

Please continue to stand with us in prayer for these things:

1. For the end of the war and a just peace for Ukraine.

2. For our 2025 graduates and their next steps in life in this time of war, especially their ministries in the churches.

3. For our enrollment for the new school year, may the Lord give clear leadership to those who He wants to study at ZBS in these uncertain times.

4. For the financial resources necessary for ZBS’s continuing.

5. Pray also for Zaporizhzhia. The russian enemy continues to shell the city. Civilians are being killed, buildings and infrastructure are being destroyed.

On behalf of the ZBS faculty, staff, and students, I wish you a happy and healthy summer, and a joy in serving Jesus that is always fresh and new!

Yours in Christ,

Volodymyr Degtyaryov
Development Director, ZBS
