KES Fall Ministry Update

Nov 26, 2025 Ministry Update

Dear friends, partners, and prayer supporters,

Warm greetings to you in Christ! We are deeply grateful for your prayers, friendship, and encouragement. Your support continues to strengthen our ministry, especially in these difficult days for Ukraine.

“Bridges to Healing” Trauma Conference — A Powerful Time of Ministry

Thank you for praying for our recent conference “Bridges to Healing.” God blessed these days in a remarkable way. From October 29 to November 1, Kremenchuk Evangelical Seminary became a place of deep conversations, practical training, and hope. More than 80 chaplains, volunteers, and those who serve soldiers and families affected by war gathered to learn how to help people process trauma, find inner strength, and move toward healing. These were not theoretical lectures; they were honest, compassionate discussions about walking with people through grief, fear, loss, and shock… and about how those who serve can care for their own hearts as well. In a country where millions carry the wounds of war, this kind of training has become not only valuable but urgently needed. We were encouraged to see so many participants eager to grow, learn, and become “bridge-builders” of healing in their communities.

KES at the General Assembly of the International Evangelical Theological Alliance

This month, our team traveled to Lviv to take part in the founding assembly of the International Evangelical Theological Alliance (IETA) - a newly formed network that unites over 40 seminaries and evangelical schools from Ukraine, Central and Eastern Europe, and the United States. The Alliance emerged after the dissolution of the former Eurasian accreditation association in 2022, which occurred in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The new platform represents a fresh, international, Christ-centered partnership—free from the influence of the aggressor nation and focused on strengthening evangelical theological education. During the meetings, participants explored important themes related to ministry, hospitality, and caring for a wounded world. We were honored to represent Kremenchuk Evangelical Seminary and contribute to shaping a global network that supports the Church in times of crisis. Your support allows our seminary to stand in these spaces, build international partnerships, and ensure Ukraine’s voice is heard in the global theological community. Thank you for making this possible.

Launch of the New Women’s Certificate Program — “A Heart Called to Serve”

On November 21–22, we hosted the first retreat session of our new certificate program for women, “A Heart Called to Serve.” These two days became a time of spiritual renewal, reflection, and rediscovering God’s calling. Participants stepped away from daily responsibilities to spend time in Scripture, practical workshops, and heartfelt conversations about serving with peace, integrity, and love. Moments of quiet prayer, small groups, and personal reflection created a warm atmosphere of trust and sisterly support. This program is designed to strengthen and restore women who minister in their churches and communities. We are grateful to begin  this new chapter and look forward to all the Lord will do through it

Living and Serving Under Constant Attacks and Power Outages

Every day, Ukraine continues to experience missile and drone attacks. Civilians are killed, homes are destroyed, and infrastructure is heavily damaged. In Kremenchuk, we have been receiving only about eight hours of electricity per day - usually two hours on and four hours off, repeating in cycles. This makes daily life extremely difficult and creates serious challenges for our ministry. For our seminary, electricity is essential: to run classes, to keep the building warm, to prepare meals for students, and to simply continue the mission God entrusted to us. Our generators are currently the only reliable source of electricity, but they require fuel to run.

Would You Pray With Us?

As you lift Ukraine and our seminary before the Lord, please pray for:

Protection during ongoing missile and drone attacks across Ukraine.

Strength and wisdom for our faculty, staff, and students as they minister in extremely challenging conditions.

Endurance and spiritual protection for our graduates and chaplains serving near frontline areas.

Provision of fuel for our generators, so we can continue teaching, heating the building, and supporting daily seminary life despite the severe electricity shortages.
