This is a letter from our faithful partner and friend in Zaporizhzhya, Ukraine. The Zaporizhzhia Bible College and Seminary (ZBCS) is located in the southern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia. This training center prepares local leaders with biblical training to minister the Gospel to the culture.
Dear Friends of ZBS!
Thank you heartily for your faithfulness in praying for Zaporizhzhya Bible Seminary (ZBS) and your practical support of our ministry. We began the school year on September 5th with graduation, and then students from all programs were on campus (full-time) for some time. In the second half of September, the situation in the city took a turn for the worse. Russian troops deliberately began firing on civilian homes and infrastructure in Zaporizhzhya. Therefore, the seminary leadership decided, for security reasons, to move the students to online education. Below I have posted some pictures of the latest shelling of Zaporizhzhya. Some houses in the picture are located within a 5-10 minute walk from my house.
Now electricity and internet in Ukraine are not always available because a lot of infrastructure is damaged.
But despite all the difficulties, and thanks to your prayers and your support of ZBS, the seminary continues its ministry.
- The students continue their courses.
- Our teachers regularly visit the seminary building.
- Staff members and students gather for devotion at 9 a.m. daily during the week.
Keep praying for us; we really need it.
- Pray for heating and electricity in the wintertime.
- Pray for the safety of students and faculty.
- Pray for alumni, especially those who are involved in combat, to defend Ukraine.
- Pray for the victory for my country in this war and for peace for Ukraine.
